Pannun’s Vicious Oxygen Scam

The recent covid crisis in India is no stranger to the world now. Acute shortage of medical equipment has led to deaths in large numbers and loss of loved ones are best known to the bereaved kith and kin of the deceased. People running for oxygen concentrators, ICU beds and ambulances were a common sight. Definitely, it had a devastating effect.

Amidst such severe crisis what caught my attention on Twitter was someone so inhumane who was still rowing his boat of propaganda and playing with common man’s feeling. He was none other than Gurpatwant Singh Pannun who was literally thriving an ‘oxygen scam’

In several of the posts going around we could see how he was promising to deliver oxygen tanks to those in dire need but the reality was starkly different. Upon scrutinizing, I have found out around 40 such fake accounts propagating his agenda. They were as follows:

By the time, I’m writing this blog many more such accounts must have been suspended or changed their name. Another thing which I have observed in these accounts is that they keep on deleting their previous posts, time and again may be because of the fear of getting their accounts suspended.

Not only this, Pannun has been misusing the images of our young girls as the profile pictures of these fake accounts have been taken from internet itself. Look for example:

The profile picture of the account Gurmet Kaur has been taken from the Facebook page- Cute & Lush Dps

The Profile picture of Simran Sandhu is in reality of Yashmani Kaur which has been taken from Pinterest.
Interestingly, profile picture of the account named Mehak has been taken from Pakistani fashion clothing site. Here is the proof:
These fake accounts have been created solely for the purpose of disseminating Pannun’s vicious agenda as no other thing could be found on their profile.

Their pattern has been simple:

At first, they create an account on Twitter, after then they look out for profile pictures of girls on Internet and then they gain massive following by following “follow for follow back” accounts. Upon scrutinizing the following list of these accounts, I have found that all these accounts have gained followers by following such bot accounts. Attached below is the proof:

In some cases, these fake accounts have found to be following each other as well. Such as below:

It seems they have been poorly taught or guided by Pannun as in some cases even accounts with zero followers and following have been posting about his oxygen scam.

Thus, they are their best supporters as no other pay any heed to them. They keep retweeting each other’s tweets and keep playing among themselves. Such as follows:

It’s sad to see how Pannun has grew so inhumane that even at such critical times when humanity is needed more than ever, he is not abstaining from spurting venom in the hearts of people. Where on one hand, Sikh community is coming forward and organizing oxygen langar, there on the other hand, people like Pannun are a sheer disgrace to the panth. Be it farmers’ protest of India or their Independence Day he has left no stone unturned to sow the seeds of his nefarious agenda. All he knows is to keep luring young lads.

But as they say, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel which is clearly visible as Twitter is taking necessary steps to shut these fake accounts. Two of the accounts which have been suspended are as follows:

These accounts are all the more dangerous as people’s lives are involved in it. There have been so many people in my circle who have tried to contact through the numbers made available but as expected, all efforts went in vain. He should have definitely kept aside the agenda of Khalistan from his oxygen scam. I must say, it was a poorly played tactic. One should not play with people’s life no matter how strong the ulterior motives are.
