The returning of Indian Prime Minister from Punjab’s Ferozpur has caused much frenzy in the political spectrum. Political party/propagandist were busy fuelling their agenda amidst the controversy. Punjab being a significant battleground for ages has provided prospects to third-parties for raging turmoil and the same has occurred on January 7th as well when a viral twitter video caught attention of many and sowed the seeds of conspiracy and hatred against the Sikh community.

On January 7th, a coordinated attempt has been made where a forged video of a cabinet meeting attached with a clubhouse audio was put out. The video which said that Sikhs should be kept out of Indian Army was deliberately put forth so as to create chaos among the Sikhs.

Upon researching we found out that it was a pre-planned, coordinated attack of around 57 handles. Listed below are the same.

The doctored video garnered a massive 77.1k views. As it is evident from the lists attached above that the accounts gained their followers through ‘follow for follow back’ game.

The handles seemed to be in much hurry as they even forgot to change their username.

The accounts were even blowing trumpets of SFJ and Pannun and ignited the demand of Khalistan by inciting violence among the Sikh community.

Interestingly, these were the same accounts which also started the #GoBackModi to retaliate the PM’s visit to Punjab.

What’s saddening after looking at such handles is that they have wilfully used the names of Sikhs and pictures of our young girls to increase their credibility. For example, Pinky Kaur has used the image of Sara Gurpal in her Twitter profile.

The handles have constantly retweeted each others post to make it reach to a wider audience and by the morning of January 8th, all of these handles were either suspended or changed their names except one i.e., @ArijitSingh6190. The whole gang seemed to have kick-started another SFJ’S agenda with the #PunjabHulKhalistan. The question still lies until how long will such deliberate attempts be made to vilify the image of Sikhs in around the globe.
